Hygienic Laboratories conduct investigations and measurements of environmental components, particularly chemical, microbiological, and biological analyses, as well as measurements of physical pollutants, including their professional evaluation.

Sampling and Servicing Department
- Certified sampling of all types of water including the requested determination of parameters at the place of sampling (temperature, chlorine, redox potential, transparency, etc.)

- Sampling for microbiological examinations related to nosocomial infections (sterilizers, swabs, etc.)

Inorganic Analyses Department
- Analysis of water (drinking, technological, dialyzing, ground, waste, swimming pool, surface, special, and Aqua purificata water)
- Laboratory testing for Legionella in water
- Analysis of waste, soils, aqueous extracts of wastes in compliance with current statutory requirements
- Analysis of food and extracts of everyday objects (food packaging, toys, rubber, textiles, leather, cosmetics, ceramics, glass and other)
- Examination of the suitability of objects in contact with drinking water
- Examination of the suitability of objects coming in contact with food
- Consultations for the given issues, evaluation of findings within effective legislation
- Trace analysis of components using ICP-MS
- Analysis of components in food of plant origin and food supplements

Organic Analyses Department
- Determination of organic pollutants in compliance with effective legislation in the following matrices: water, waste, swimming pool, waste, aqueous extracts of waste, soil, air, etc.
- Complex analysis of organic compounds in objects for natural usage, in objects in contact with drinking water
- Analysis of preservatives and additives in food and cosmetic products
- Trace analysis of organic compounds using liquid and gas chromatography (GC/MS, GC/ECD, HPLC/DAD)
- Identification of organic compounds using the GC/MS method
- Consultative services on these issues and evaluation of findings within the framework of effective legislation

Biologic Analyses Department
- Microbiological and biological examination of all types of water in full compliance with current statutory requirements
- Microbiological examination in compliance with the Pharmacopoeia (Aqua purificata, sterility and microbial contamination of sanitary devices)
- Macrobiological examination of food, everyday objects, rocks, sediments, soil and sand
- Determination of the disinfecting efficiency of substances
- Microbiological monitoring of the environment (swabs, pollutants, marks, strips, etc)
- Microbiological examination of samples related to nosocomial diseases (sterilizers, swabs, determination of sensitivity to antibiotics, etc.)
- Ecotoxicological tests on organisms (Vibrio fischeri, Lactuca sativa, Daphnia magna, Desmodesmus subspicatus)
- Determination of the algicidal efficiency of agents
- Consultations on these issues and evaluation of findings within the framework of effective legislation
